Worst dining experience ever. At the prices they charge it is shocking. Staff were rude and disorganised. Perhaps, not their fault as they were mainly young girls so may not be that experienced. This place has no atmosphere felt like i was dining at a cheap ikea
Good food. Beautiful location. Shame about the attitude of staff. We booked three tables but they put us all at seperate ends of the restaurant. When asked if we could be put together (plenty of spare tables) we were told no and given a look like we had spat in their face. Then we were told we had to order within 5 minutes. If I had not been with friends I would have walked out.
A light and welcoming restaurant with excellent food, attentive and friendly staff. Both fish courses that we had were excellent, an extensive wine list to compliment available too. Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. We will be back on return to St. Ives
Reviews are out of date. We were really looking forward to this one in Cornwall. Setting is nice. Food lacks any appeal, starters were boring and completely missing flavor. The fish in the mains was the only good part of the night. I need an extra paragraph because the service was so horrendously weak. We were not taken care of in any way. Second order of wine was not done because there was simply no one to order from. For the overall we received tonight half the price would have been fair. It seems like the good days of Alba are in the past.
Really spectacular. For starters, I had the spring veggies and my wife the St Ives Haddock. Memorable. For the mains, she took the crab pasta, which she found less amazing. I had the pork. This was spec.ta.cu.lar! And, to accompany all that, don't forget their Gin!
